What is Digitalmix®? 

Digitalmix® is an innovative online music licensing business designed by music industry veterans who saw a better way to serve the needs of music supervisors and rights holders. Unlike traditional licensing services which can be very time consuming, inefficient and costly, DigitalmiX is built around a fast, efficient, intuitive and flexible online music library that is filled with only the best commercially-released music—right at your fingertips and within your budget.

All rights for licensing are available on Digitalmix®, so you no longer need to go to multiple rights holders to clear songs, at increasing degrees of expense. In short, we offer you a one-stop source for the best music available, while providing you with the easiest and fastest way to search for, listen to and license that perfect song for your project.

2. How do I register an account for Digitalmix®and is registration free?    

Registration and music searching on our site are FREE. To Register, just hit the LOGIN button and click on SIGN UP and merely provide the requested information.

3. How do I search for songs on Digitalmix®?   

You can search our powerful SONGBUILDER database in several ways, using the search fields located on the left-hand side of the screen. First, entering information in the top field allows you to input several variables of information as noted immediately below the field. Second, you can select a value from the GENRE field, then refine your search by clicking on other variables directly beneath this field going down to TYPE, at anytime clicking GO. Or you can BROWSE BY MOOD or BROWSE BY ARTIST.

As we want your experience to be a pleasant one, we have tried to make sure that every time you conduct a search, a result appears.

4. How do I obtain licenses for songs I find on Digitalmix®?   

Once you have conducted a search and have listened to a particular song of interest (by clicking on the speaker icon next to a song title in the search results field), merely click the "Add to Cart" button and the song will be placed in your "MY SONGS" shopping cart (you incur no fees at this time). If you have not logged in or registered, you will be prompted to do so before proceeding to the licensing area. Once there, you will be able to access the "license request form." Then simply provide us with a small amount of iinformation about your production, and hit the "submit" button.

5. Once I  submit a license request form, how long does it take to process? 

Digitalmix® will review your license request form as soon as we receive it via email. Our goal is to grant approval within an hour of receipt of your email submission, during our normal business hours (9pm - 5pm ET). In some instances, we may need to ask you further questions to expedite your request. All requests made after normal business hours will be handled immediately the next business day.

6. What payment methods does Digitalmix® accept?

At the moment, we provide hard copy licenses and accept paper checks.

7. Is my information kept private and confidential?

Digitalmix® knows that you care how information about you is used and shared, and we appreciate your trust that we will do so carefully and sensibly. For more information, please review our privacy policy. By visiting Digitalmix®, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

8. As an upcoming artist, how can  I post my music to Digitalmix® for review?

At present, we do not accept unsolicited material. If you would like your music to be considered for inclusion in the DigitalmiX library, please send us an email first. This applies to artists and content providers, both major and independent. Once we have a dialog in play, we will ask for submission on CD format. We will then review which song(s) we deem viable on our site.

9. Once my license request form is approved, how will I received my song?   

You can elect to have your song sent to you as either a CD (snailmail) or as an MP3 file (email).

1. I searched for songs and then click to play them but I didn’t hear anything. What's up with that?      

First, are your speakers on and turned up? If so, try installing the Windows Media Player 9 application that is available at the bottom left-hand corner of our home page. After loading is completed, refresh your system and try clicking on the play button of any song ttitle again. If that does not work please visit the Microsoft Windows Media Support Page

2. I registered my account with Digitalmix® but I forgot my  password?

First click the LOGIN button, then click the link that says "Forgot your password?" and we will email you your latest password.
